St Brigid’s Catholic Primary School is a one form entry Voluntary Aided School with the capacity to house 210 pupils from Reception Class to Year 6.
We also have an established nursery and offer wrap around care for children aged between 2 and 4. Our nursery runs for 50 weeks per year; it is open from 8am and closes at 5.45pm.
St Brigid’s has its own Governing Body but has strong links with its sister school, St Albert’s, following a period of work led by the Hard Federated Governing Body of St Albert’s & St Brigid’s (2009 – 2015).
We are situated in Stockbridge Village, the Central Area of Knowsley. The school lies on the border between Knowsley and Liverpool. Current figures indicate that 55% of our pupils are Knowsley residents with the overwhelming majority of the remaining families living in Liverpool.
The school runs ‘breakfast’ and an ‘after-school’ club on a daily basis to support our working families – places at these clubs are chargeable. We run a range of After School Activities which provide enrichment activities for pupils. Children in Years 4, 5 and 6 have the opportunity to take part in a residential experience which allows them to challenge themselves and develop their personal attributes. All children are provided with opportunities to enrich their learning and experience through a wide range of trips and activities.
