Structure of EYFS
At St Brigid’s our provision consists of our nursery setting which offers both 15/30 hours, paid places and wrap around childcare to our two- and three-year-old children. We have one reception class for our school starters. We offer flexible childcare including holiday provision. Children can be added to our waiting list any time throughout the year

We are extremely proud of the Early Years Provision that we offer to our youngest children and would advise you to arrange a visit to meet our wonderful team.
It is easy to register your child at St Brigid’s Nursery. Simply complete the form by contacting the school/nursery office for more information or email stbrigid@knowsley.gov.uk Remember you can register your child at any point in the year.

Nursery
We take pupils into the nursery on a termly basis – usually the term following the child’s second or third birthday. There is information which includes the application form available from the school or on the Knowsley Council website https://www.knowsley.gov.uk/residents/education-and-schools/apply-for-a-school-place/nursery-class-admissions (You can use this form wherever you live.)
Our Caterpillar room is for our children who start when they are 2 years old
Our Butterfly room is for our 3 year olds
Children do not change rooms on their birthday but when the time is right for your child or capacity in each room.
We are lucky enough to have a lovely garden and a very peaceful sensory room.
We are open 8am -5pm
- 2 Year Offer – 15 hours a week, term time only (8.30am – 11.30am / 12.30pm – 3.30pm)
- 2 year working families – – 15 hours a week, term time only (8.30am – 11.30am / 12.30pm – 3.30pm)
- 3 Year Universal – 15 hours a week, term time only (8.30am – 11.30am/12.30pm-3.30pm)
- 3 Year working families – 30 hours a week, term time only (9am – 3pm) or stretched
- 15hours – as 2 full days
- Wrap around hours available
- Holiday provision is available
Reception class

Please note that there is no automatic transfer from our Nursery to reception class. Attending or nursery class does not give your child priority for a place in our reception class. If you want a place in our reception class, you must complete the formal Local Authority application form during the relevant application period. Please note: Obtaining a place in the nursery does not give your child any priority for admission to reception class – you still need to apply for a reception place at the right time.
